Thrown In and Spat Out: A Selection of Grime DVDs

The East London grime scene has seen an explosion in film-making, with recordings of the MCs in clubs, on pirate radio or on the Hackney streets, passed around the fans and artistes as DVDs to create a youth-culture film-making phenomenon. This programme, curated by film-maker and photographer Lucia Helenka, charts the last few years from early hand-held forays to a more recent, glossier rap-video-style aesthetic. Featuring early sightings of Dizzee Rascal and Roll Deep Crew, and work by film-maker Troy Miller.

Probably be about £8 to get in. They don't allow any late comers by the way.
