sorry if there's already been a thread about this, I can't find one but I'm surprised no-one's started one yet.

On the first three listens so far, this is one of the most incredible albums I've ever heard. I may regret this later (although it seems unlikely) but I would put it up there with Patrick Wolf's Lycanthropy for sheer inventiveness, emotion and beauty. A mix of so many musical styles, including traces of Dexy's Midnight Runners, Bronski Beat, Mercury Rev, Grandaddy, Elvis Presley and about a million other things.

I already knew that Made Up Love Song was one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard - I didn't expect Redwings to be even more amazing.

And some of it it happy and danceable, and some of it makes me want to cry, and most of all I just want to hug them and say thank you.

I am very excited.
