4 or 5 Magicians - www.myspace.com/4or5magicians - need a new drummer blah blah blah...

How's this for WEIRD? Last summer our drummer Alex had to leave the band as he was moving to Switzerland. A year on, his eventual permanent replacement Ilja is also having the leave the band as he is moving to Switzerland. Weird, non?

So yeah, as of the end of this month, we will be without a drummer. I am pretty certain we have a replacement lined up who will play with us until the end of the year at least if need be, but it would be great to hear from any of you out there who might want to join permanently!

For anyone that knows the band, we are now based in LONDON. South London to be precise. We have been rehearsing, and will probably continue to rehearse in Croydon. Though we still have a base in Brighton.

For anyone who doesn't know the band, www.myspace.com/4or5magicians tells you all you need to know, but I know you won't all look, so some info :

- We are, broadly speaking, guitar heavy early 90's american alt-rock sounding ... Guided By Voices, Dinosaur Jr, Nirvana, REM, Built To Spill, Pavement, Sebadoh, Weezer etc etc.

- We are currently releasing stuff through This Is Fake DIY Records www.thisisfakediyrecords.co.uk alongside Popular Workshop, We Are The Physics, Manda Rin from Bis, and other such wonders.

- Our last single Change The Record was single of the week on Steve Lamacq's Radio 6 show, and he also played it twice on his Radio 1 show simply because he liked it! We were also his "new favourite band" for a week. Huw Stephens likes us and plays us a lot as well on his Radio 1 show.

- We were, and still are Playmusic Magazine's unsigned indie/rock band of the year 2008.
