Hey, I'm looking to start something up in Manchester. Rather unfashionably, I'm looking to do totally un-aggressive, and completely un-angular stuff. Jazz(ish) influences without being jazz, slightly bluesy atmospheric. Into themes and scores as much as 'songs.' Bernard Herrmann, Bill Evans, Paul Curreri (esp. electric Curreri), Ellington, Gershwin, Dolphy. I expect that DiS might not be the best place to advertise for such things but who knows...

I've got a ton of gigging, writing, recording experience. Was in Spy Versus Spy and Future Adventures, although that should give no indication whatsoever as to the stuff I want to do now.

Looking for competent, open-minded musicians. Double bass would make me cream but I know they're rare on sites like this. Sax/clarinet might also be cool.
