We need to make our songs louder. No wankers or hipsters. We like heavy stuff, melodic stuff and heavy melodic stuff. Yo la tengo, Sonic Youth, Pixies, The velvet underground, the stooges, jesus and mary chain, my bloody valentine, Grandaddy, Dinosaur Jr, Neutral Milk Hotel. Some newish bands we like are The Thermals, The National, Deerhunter, TV on the radio.

Ideally, you like playing really really really loudly and also have a good sense of melody
