I'll keep this simple and hopefully not come across sounding
like a prick, just sounding like someone who wants to find a
decent drummer & get down to business. Apologies in advance if
the former is the case.

The deal: Our drummer is bolting back to his home town
permanently so we're looking for a replacement. We played a few
gigs with current line up + are recording a 3/4 track demo at
Premises studios in East London on 18th August.... when that
day is over our drummer friend'll be hanging up his boots. We want to fill them ASAP.

Now I could now ramble on about how you'll need to be committed, seriously talented, have the following influences blah blah blah but normally that still manages to awaken the sleeping turds of the percussion world (you know who you are). What i will say is we like the sound/themes/lyrics/vocal patterns/live energy/pop
sensibilities of Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Joy Division, Les Savy Fav,
The Strokes (yawn), Interpol, Arcade Fire, Velvet Underground &
the Doors. Style is good but substance has to rule the day. No
point dressing like a rockabilly skunk if you're music is
hookless banal. Most important of all we want someone who we
can go all the way with musically, get on with, have a laugh with & someone who can criticise us and take criticism in equal measures.
