Bands wanted November through January...

JohnMcCooke [Edit] [Delete] 16:45, 28 October '09

Howdy, would you like to play at one of London's friendliest venues where the sound is truly excellent? Want to be on bills that have been put together with a bit of thought? Want to be paid all the door rather than some insulting percentage? Read on. Please mail me rather than leave a comment.

I am looking for bands for the following shows...

Thursday 5th November
The Strokes, Sex Pistols, Arctic Monkeysish with or without electronic elements.

Saturday 7th November
Progressive. sonic youth sorta vibe.

Saturday 14th November
Melodic powerpop, new wave a bit punky.

Wednesday 25th November
Sonic Youth, think scuzzy noise guitars with an arty
edge.

Saturday 28th November
Upbeat multi instrumental folky vibe.

Tuesday 22nd December
Upbeat folk, a la Mumford and Sons

Saturday 26th December
Anything goes

Friday 1st January
Anything goes

Saturday 2nd January
Upbeat poppy fun.

Thursday 7th January
Folky, poppy vibe.

Saturday 9th January
Outside the box, imaginative smart pop.

Friday 15th January
Cheerier version of Radiohead vibe

Saturday 16th January
Leftfield, shoegazey, Swervedriver like

Saturday 23rd January
Rocknroll, maybe with an electronic or epic feel.

If you fit none of these but you have a great sound of any genre (except pop punk, metal and groin grabbing rnb) then we may be able to find you another show.

We have recently had the whole venue sound treated so it is sounding very crisp. These are inhouse run shows at The Good Ship in Kilburn so we need bands who are happy to promote massively. We will pay you all the door less a tiny cut to the sound engineer; we wouldn't ask otherwise. Message me and I'll be back in a jiffy. If you have already emailed me and you think you fit one of these feel free to rattle my cage.
