There's a very good chance we're going to require a new bassist at the end of Jan. You could be our new year's recruit. I'd put an exclamation mark there, but it isn't fucking X Factor.

I tell people we sound loud and jazzy. I'm not lying that much. Think Slint, Jesus Lizard, Sonic Youth and Drive Like Jehu. Only a bit more awkward and slow. We gigged a few years back, then took a long break. I will warn you: We aren't looking to break America or anything. If you're looking for professionalism, we probably aren't the band for you.

We're looking for an intelligent and creative bassist, with a discerning and ecclectic taste in music. Male or female, 22-30. The three of us are boys, but we aren't too laddish - even our drummer can read simple sentences. We can be quite robust in our humour though. You'll need to be confident, and able to commit to practising regularly.
