Established altrock/posthardcore band seeks new drummer

definitionofself [Edit] [Delete] 19:28, 1 August '10

6 months ago a band called wake up the bears went on hiatus after its guitarist had to relocate and its
drummer needed to concentrate more on her personal life.

Myself (the singer) and the guitarist are now living in the same area again want to get the band playing live.
We have been writing new material during this downtime and have a great 6 track set picked out and ready to go.

Previously we played up and down the country performing about 25 times. We have the ability to record ourselves
to a high level and are aiming to have an EP that represents our live set finished asap.

Check out our myspace to hear 3 old tracks and a sample of our new demos. www.myspace.com/wakeupthebears

What we are looking for now is a new drummer who can handle the set live and is motivated enough to gig weekly.
Moving forward we also want this drummer to be proactive in writing new material and have an equal voice in the direction
of the band artistically but the first task is to learn our current material.

Drop me an email at definitionofself@hotmail.com if you like what you hear and think you could be a fit :)

p.s you may see we also have an advert up for a bassist, this is because we are hoping to become a 4 piece so I can concentrate on
singing and interact more with the crowd. However we can easily function as a 3 piece until we find the right person.
