We are The Lilac Hand. A newly formed band of the indie pop persuasion based in Leicester. We're looking for a female guitarist who can also sing back up vocals when necessary (since none of the other guys has the cajones to do it :p and because I like the contrast). Ideally you'd be someone who actually likes indie pop and playing the guitar. Also... We practise on the weekends. So don't apply if that's going to be a problem.

Our influences are: Flying Nun bands of the 80s, Felt, The Velvet Underground, Thirteenth Floor Elevators, Seeds, Zombies (the band, not the undead), Television, Ramones, Buzzcocks, Wire, Feelies, Love and many more. Don't worry if you've not heard of half of them. We're not a covers band.
