The Detour, broadly falling under the categories of electronica/post-rock/ambient, are looking looking for (female) vox, keys, percussion, also strings and other unique sounds to complement existing line-up of guitar, bass and electronic beats/ samples.

Our music contrasts space and density, organic and electronic and is a collision of melodic live sounds and synthesised, electronic noise. We were described in a recent review as being “beautiful and multi-layered”.

We have a full set ready to gig and practise regularly in central Manchester.
