We're part of the London DIY scene and put on shows for local and touring bands at least once a month, and we have our own practice room (shared with other bands).
We'd like someone who's commited and extremely and sincerely passionate about music. We are faithful proponents of the DIY ethos, so if you're aiming at the NME cover this is probably not for you, but we are nevertheless very ambitious.
We would need someone who helps with booking gigs/tours and pretty much every other aspect of being in a band. In short, someone who gets shit done. The ability to sing or at least do backing vocals would be a sweet bonus!
We are influenced by the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Fugazi, Minutemen, The Halo Benders, Sebadoh, Mclusky, Pavement, Sonic Youth, Les Savy Fav, Modest Mouse, K records!...
As the list suggests, we're well into writing songs and aren't scared of melodies!! No loops or tapping involved. Finesse, Hooks and Balls.
