I'm intrigued because Apple make the effort everywhere else. Yet they supply these crappy headphones that, while not actually utter turd like a five quid pair from Dixons, are far FAR inferior to the Sony ones I got with my last phone (or indeed the comparable ones that came with my iRiver).

The Sony design in fact which appears to be their standard, with the three types of rubber ends so they plug firmly into your ear, reducing outside noise, noise 'spillage' to those around you and increasing comfort.

I'm just saying: Apple need to step up their game in this area. Surely they shift enough iPods that they don't have to worry too much about profit margins in this area.
