Video game films.

Seeing as Mortal Kombat:Annihilation is on thought i'd do some research.
First of all...i never knew the same guy directed Mortal Kombat and Event Horizon. New favourite director.

Also...there was a Shenmue film using the cut scenes and expert players for the fight scenes? What the fuck?http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social

So Uwe Boll is the king of the game adaptions. However...has anyone actually made a good film based on a game?
Sure D.O.A was good in the way that they managed to incorporate some of the D.O.A Beach Volleyball game into it .

Tekken on the way doesn't seem to be an exception to the rule that they are shit. Here's a trailer http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/12263994/Tekken/Product.html

Mortal Kombat 3 in early stages as well.

So yeh...heres a list...whats good/entertaining?

This is my pilot for the computer game film column Sean promised me. It wasn't even my idea but it's a bloody good one. I'd do amazingly well with an hourly column here.
