yesterday i tried to buy a pack of M&Ms from the train station vending machine. i put the money in, made my selection and watched as the little vending machine device pushed the pack of M&Ms forward... leaving the pack dangling tantalisingly on the edge of the shelf!

my first thought was "shit, i'm going to go without my M&Ms" but then i noticed that there was a message on the machine saying "make another selection". presumably it had realised my dilemma. so I reselected M&Ms, the machine starting whirring away again and deposited two packs for me. so i now have a spare pack of M&Ms, given to me for free by the station vending machine.
