A friend of mine has just had an ipod touch for his birthday I have tried to help set it up I'm having a few problems.

So a couple of questions;

1)Am I right in thinking that you need a USB 2.0 port and if you don't it wont charge or sync?

2)If you do have an old pc can how easy is it to upgrade the USB ports? Can they be adapted?

3)If you had a netbook (no cd drive) could you download itunes to this and sync the tunes using the homesharing option ie rip tunes to pc as it has a drive and use the net book to sync as it has USB 2.0.
