advice re: lower back pain when running (running spin-off thread, etc)

michael_w [Edit] [Delete] 11:37, 20 April '10

so...

in another no doubt doomed attempt to get fit, loose some tub...i started running a little circuit twice a day.....literally only a pathetic 5-10 mins round the block but it was enough to get me started

anyway...my body got used to this and i noticed that i wasn't getting out of puff so much, so i doubled the circuit...

i wasn't that much more out of breath....but i really started to get a pain/ache in my lower back....felt like it was seizing up..

i've run the single cicuit again since without the pain...

so my question is..

should i keep doing the double and allow my body to get used to it...just a case of my body acclimatising (sp?)...etc

or is the back pain an issue?

cheers.

oh, and any tips, apart from walking...for back niggles in general.
