Michael Gove was amazingly slimy on the Today Programme this morning.

TheoGB [Edit] [Delete] 10:17, 26 April '10

I now picture him with some sort of impossibly black cloak and an evil laugh.

If you can't listen:
Paul Carter of Kent County Council was interviewed by the Today show saying the Tories' new policy for schools was going to mean less money for the local authority.

This was immediately followed by an interview with Gove where he explained he'd talked to Paul Carter just after that interview and in fact he was in fact 100% supporting the Tories' plans and that Carter was distressed at how the BBC had portrayed him. You know, by actually broadcasting the very words Mr. Carter had just said where he'd explicitly attacked the Tory policy.

Truly astounding Thick of It style, "No you didn't hear what you heard, you heard what I'm telling you now," type stuff.
