I mean surely consensus politics have worked pretty well in other countries?

Personally I think a break from the whole oppositional 'us lot vs that lot' mentality would do UK politics no end of good. Imagine if they actually worked together rather than devoting all their energies to slagging each other off...

I know, I'm hopelessly naive.
