I've spent about half a month trying to decide what to get as my first DSLR but have so far failed miserably to make my mind up.
I started on the entry level canon & nikons but then got sucked in by the more expensive cameras with HD video and upgraded stuff.
I guess i'd be looking to get one out of the canon 1000d, 500d & 550d and the Nikon d3000 &d5000s. I'm also pretty poor so the 550d would probably not be a good idea but then HD 1080p!
