okay so bear with me i've been hallucinating and have barely slept so this might be like having the best idea ever when you're drunk and explaining it to a sober friend who beats you down with logic.

Why do we have time zones? WHO DECIDED IT THAT WAY?

Like, numbers can be relative surely and the fact that 6am is morning in places is arbitrary and doesnt really matter? Like, it's currently 07:33 in LA. why can't it just be 15:33 over there at that time would be their morning? Or, similarly, why can't/isn't it 07:33 over here and that's just our afternoon?
