For me the following seven miss out:

Dawson (I'd actually have preferred him to Upson if Capello had given him a try in the friendlies but having not tried him out, I think Upson's experience counts)

Warnock (I'd rather have Cole and Baines)

Huddlestone (We have better central midfielders)

Carrick (I actually like him as a player but he's off-form and I can't see him recovering in the next two months)

Wright-Phillips (We have better wingers)

Walcott (ok, he can be brilliant but he usaally isn't and I'd rather have Johnson and Cole on the subs' bench)

Darren Bent (I really wanted him to prove himself today but he didn't and ultimately you start to feel he won't)

Leaving a following World Cup squad of:

James, Green, Hart

Johnson, Carragher, Upson, Ferdinand, Terry, King, Cole, Baines

Lennon, Johnson, Barry, Parker, Lampard, Gerrard, Cole, Milner

Rooney, Defoe, Heskey, Crouch

I'm guessing in reality Walcott will go for Johnson and Carrick for Parker.
