Inspired by my bursting into the ladies face-to-face with an elderly woman being led out by her granddaughter in a rural pub in Wales on the weekend which had two, slightly different-looking goats on either door – I had a guess after realizing I couldn’t tell them apart, and came up short.

I actually mentioned to the man behind the bar that he wants to think about beefing up the beard on the male goat or maybe adding bow to the head of the goatess. I doubt he’s got his paintbrush out since though so that's just a heads up if you're in Usk.

What do you think? I quite like them normally – I like a puzzle when I’m out, and I like to think of myself as "hombre" on occasion – but I will say if you’re going to move away from a standard stickman & “woman in a dress” as a proprietor you have to be sensible.
