1) I have never colored my hair before, but I am planning to fully dye it (with the help of a more experienced friend) soon. I have heard a lot of stories of dye job woe. What are key tips for avoiding such woe?

2) Old wise folks, when your ex is one of your best friends, and you spend a huge chunk of your time with them still, thus not really leaving yourself open for new stuff, it's still preferable to drifting apart, yeah? It's not worth sacrificing a good friend just to move on at a reasonable pace, amirite?
