Went to the dentist this afternoon. Walked in to find a lovely reception area with a massive HD telly on one wall showing the build-up to the World Cup. The receptionist was beautiful. A dental assistant came out to hand her some papers, and she was beautiful too. There was a sign on the wall with the names of the dentists at the surgery and they were all, male and female, good looking enough to feature in an American soap opera at the very least.

I was assigned to a dentist who looked like Konnie Huq. She led me in and said, "I know the football's starting soon, but don't worry about missing it, if this overruns we've got a solution for that." Then she pointed to another flat screen HD TV mounted on the ceiling above the chair.

But by far the best bit was that all the magazines in reception were recent, from the past month. And not a single interior design publication amongst their ranks.
