My laptop won't boot - I've tried taking out the battery and just running it from the mains, and there's nothing wrong in the BIOS. I've tried starting from last known good configuration but that doesn't work and it won't start in safe mode either.

Anyone any ideas? Please don't say my motherboard is kaput :(
