This whole Raoul Moat thing has got me thinking, because with the 400-reply thread on here and all the Twittering about it, it's evidently generated a lot of public interested. I haven't really been paying much attention to it though. Does that make me better than all of you, above the cheap thrills provided by other people's tragedy in the same way that I'm not too keen on soaps or Big Brother, or does it simply make me an egotist with an unhealthy detachment from the world around me? WHICH?
