By this logic should EVERY "murderer," (let alone those who killed 259 people) be released to die? There's also now no doubt that the medical "advice" they were acting on was extremely dodgy and chosen selectively to suit this outcome.

Not forgetting also that the conviction of Magrahi (tried at the Hague under Scots law) has a lot of questions surrounding it and I have my own doubts that it was even a safe conviction.

Really baffled by this whole thing. Looks really dodgy, maybe involving all parties.

I also really don't get how compassionate release can be allowed to be political in the first place.
