Are there lots of cheap B&Bs nearby?

Booking ticekts for the World Darts Championship over Christmas there so we'll be down there for a night maybe two.

Is there places available to just saunter around and say "got any vacancies mate?" like in Blackpool? I.e. not big hotels, but nice creepy small places.
