Crossing the road in England and other countries

Smee [Edit] [Delete] 15:51, 28 July '10

In England its perfectly acceptable to cross the road at random places and/or if the red man is showing.

In other countries this is frowned upon. In New York someone shouted that I was a "fucking ass-hole" from his car window, even though I'd finished crossing many seconds before he passed me.

In other countries crossing the road is very hazardous. India and stuff or something.

Today I noticed that they have installed these display things at the crossings at Oxford Circus that count down the time you've got to cross. I noticed a fair few people getting panicked by them today.

The man in the shop just now commented on the fact that I always take ages to choose a chocolate bar yet always settle on snickers or double decker. He doesn't understand why I survey the whole chocolate shelf every time. He tried to tell me lightheartedly, but I think he's having a bad day.
