i'm considering selling most of my cd collection

whiterussian [Edit] [Delete] 10:53, 30 July '10

the thing is, i always quite liked the cd and i've spent time and effort and money to build up my collection. and i've always been really annoyed with people who are like "cd's are lame, don't bother" and i don't want to be one of those "i don't own any cd's" people. but i don't even have a cd player at the moment, when i buy a new cd (which at the best of times is rare these days) i just upload it to itunes and listen to it from my macbook or my ipod.

what made me think more seriously about this is that a few weeks ago i managed to get an old stereo for free which has a cassette player and a vinyl player, so i've got those two and still no cd player. what i'm thinking about now is selling the cd's that i'm not very attached to (my collection of art brut singles etc) and if there are things that i really feel like owning a physical copy of i can just as easily buy the vinyl and listen to that/keep it on my shelf for decorative purposes.

also the money would obvs come in handy.

do you still own cds? do you still *listen* to them? what is your favourite physical format? what about cassettes, own any of them? of course you do, this is dis for crying out loud.
