You know all those 'rules' for how long you ought to wait to contact someone you like after meeting them, how long you should contact them after a date etc.?

theguywithnousername [Edit] [Delete] 11:47, 9 August '10

Do you think any of them actually matter? I mean surely what it comes down to is if you like someone you want to hear from them and if you don't you don't and - so long as they don't call you within two minutes of the date or leave it for six weeks - it's not going to really matter whether it's a day, two days, three days etc?

Is the whole "you call her too soon"/"you left it too long" thing just an excuse for failure and an inability to accept the fact the person didn't like you that much?

And is 28 way too old to be starting these kinds of threads? It is really isn't it?
