1) I found this book in the pub. It's called "Blood Electric" by a man named Kenji Siratori. The title describes it as "The new Japanese cyberpunk classic".

On the back cover: "Vividly evoking the coming to consciousness of an artificial intelligence, Blood Electric is a devastating loop of language from the Japanese avant-garde which breaks with all existing writing traditions. With unparalleled stylistic terrorism fully embracing the image mayhem of the internet/multimedia/digital age, Kenji Siratori unleashes his first literary Sarin attack."

This is the first paragraph: "I record the vital-icon(plus)our chromosome form escape of the suck=blood chromosome::the horizon of the body fluid=murder like the dog that was done to nude gene=TV/spasm//I am disillusioned with the volume inoculation of hydromachine::the circuit without the end of masses of flesh::I disappear with the body of the machine nature of ToK::I suck the porno nerve gas of boy-roid//The soul/gram of self crushes to the quantum tragedy of NDRO..."

It goes on like this for 224 pages...

"I want to walk like a dog>The rape scene of the back of an ADAM doll perceived through sin-tainted slit eyelid..."

"The placenta is crucified memory//cell is the crucified memory of spectre::The drag embryo who the brain of clone boys escapes links artery of the artificial sun of the pituitary swastika lead to cobalt death angel mechanism..."

"<=Sphincter absorbs the nightmare tube of a parasite>Our existence-script emulated the internal organ consciousness of the cyber nature of a dog internal::the awakening vision of vital sheet metal//"

Also, the "story" doesn't actually end. The last page is text, similar to the above trailing off the end of the page into infinity.

What is happening: Various world leaders work diplomacy by playing Mahjong. The hero, amiable, eccentrically-coiffed former Japanese PM Junichiro Koizumi is given a slight makeover, so that essentially he's a cross between Jack Bauer and Jesus - which is useful because in this universe Mahjong is high-stakes shit, replete with outlandish finishing moves, status and environment effects, exotic match locations.

Also: George Bush Snr is about eight feet tall and appears to be God. Dubya is still a dumbass though, so...
