I was watching The Pianist last night and there was a bit where German soldiers decided to kill a few jews for shits and giggles in the Warsaw ghetto. One of the killings was simply lifting an old fella in his wheelchair, and tipping over the balcony of their apartment that was 3/4 floors up and letting him plummet to the ground. I couldn't help but watch it again and again and again. Simply fascinating.

The last scene in Sophie Scholl has exactly the same effect.

Wow, war film centric.
