Walks into a saloon for a beer, only to find his horse has gone when he exits said establishment.

He storms back inside and demands, "Somebody tell me what happened to my horse or I'm gonna do what I did in El Paso." No one answers, so he pipes up again. "Somebody tell me where my horse is or I'm gonna do what I had to do in El Paso." Again, silence. He slowly eyes up the entire clientele, takes a deep breath and says: "Now I aint kiddin' I'm gonna give you ONE last chance. Once I finish this beer, my horse better be outside, or help me God, I'm gonna do just what I did in el Paso, and you DON'T wanna see me do what I did in El Paso".

He finishes his beer and leaves to find his horse returned. As he's about to ride away, a kid runs up and asks

"Sir sir excuse me but I've got to know: What did you have to do in El Paso?"
The cowboy replies
"Oh I had to walk home"
