does anyone on here go to other internet-based music meet up things? role play things?

i accidentally went to something called the london indie something group (can't remember)because my friend is a member and neglected to tell me that it was an internet 'thing'. it was really weird, everyone looked like they were accountants and people would ask what music you liked, really intensely. someone said 'i like going to gigs'.

it was quite an odd experience.
