My brain seems to switch off when I hear certain keywords:

- bombs going off in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. etc. etc.

- anything about babies, children, schools, postcode lotteries zzz

- Obama

- tuition fees

- anything about farmers / organic food / gm crops zzz

- catholic and protestant paddies having fights
