Culinary adventures of the previous week

Royter-Hatfood [Edit] [Delete] 11:57, 20 September '10

Last week I ate the following things for the first time (please excuse half-arsed spelling):

carpachio - pretty boring. The giddy thrill of eating raw flesh is lessened by presence of balsamic vinegar/parmesan shavings/etc.

wild pig prosciutto - pretty nice. Very dark and gamey. Get to feel *slightly* like Asterix and/or Obelix.

roast guinea fowl - very good, would eat again.

roast rabbit - okay. A bit dry, but that might not have been the rabbit's fault.

some kind of salami thing with creamed potatoes which is apparently a delicacy - shit, salty bangers and mash with no gravy. Would not recommend.

fig and honey ice-cream - pretty incredible.

I can't remember anymore.

I know hearing about people's holidays is about as interesting as hearing about their dreams, but screw you all and your horses and your ants.

(PS I had a dream last night that bamos asked me to help him set-up a fish and chip shop - can you imagine?!!?!!11?)
