So I get an email from the BBC audience people yesterday, saying that I've won 4 tickets to see Richard Herring Live next month! It's the first such thing I've won, and I'm chuffed.

Then I look in my diary. Big important band practice booked that night.

I offer my 4 tickets to my brother, who happily accepts them.

Today I ask someone in the band about our next gig. "Oh, I forgot to say, that big important practice is cancelled."

I e-mail my brother, to see if he's got one of those FOUR tickets available. He's given them all out to mates already.

GODAMMIT. Now no practice OR Richard Herring live. The biggest gear-grinder is that the practice was probably already cancelled before I gave my tickets away...
