With the decrease in dvd prices and popularity of online TV sharing I'm suprised they haven't gone under.

Games Workshop jokes aside, are there any Blu-Rays worth getting? Considering the price difference between them and a DVD, they don't look too tempting, the only stuff that might be nice is BBC Documentary type stuff like Planet Earth. Most of the cheaper blu-rays are terrible films that no-one should want anyway.
And with old films released on blu-ray, surely that's just going to be like watching an upscaled DVD? :|
