Masters degrees

ChicCharnley [Edit] [Delete] 04:49, 21 October '10

Was hoping there will be some folk out there who can help me with a few wee questions. I graduated in the summer there with a first from a Russell Group uni (I mention this only in the vain hope that it will improve my chances of funding). I've taken this year out to work in China, but I'm looking into starting a Masters next September/October. Will be in something Politics related, perhaps something like Public Policy.

Anyhoo, in all likelihood I won't be able to afford to pay the 4, 5 or 6 grand that a lot of courses require, and so I'm going to try and get a scholarship/funding. Does anyone have any idea how difficult it is to attain a scholarship or to get a decent portion of a Masters funded? Also, does anyone know if Masters courses tend to interview applicants before accepting them? As I will definitely still be in China until May/June.

I realise I should probably go on to some sort of uni forum, or send off some emails to unis, but this place always seems like a decent spot for help with issues like this. Cheers!
