^descriptive thread title

How much do London DiSers like it there? If you moved there for a job (which seems likely to happen to me in the future; can’t afford to be picky about location), did you enjoy ending up there? Was it merely a necessary evil? If you could hypothetically have the same job in a non-London location, would you prefer that instead?

I’ve got it in my head that there’s a culture of people who think London is the best place to live in the world, ever... but I’ve never met one of those people. I know a few people who were glad to be rid of the place and swore off ever going back, though. Plus swathes of people on Location, Location... type programs who want to leave the place behind and never look back. No doubt it’d be great for gigs etc., but what about everything else?
