YEAH SO.

letting agent problems. my boyfriend and i have been in our house now for nearly 2 years, with no major problems. however, we've recently had a few maintenance issues with the house: a massive damp patch appeared in the wall on the kitchen; secondly there's been some issues with power outlets not working and sparking and also a possible leak under the kitchen sink. these problems started a few months ago and like normal, we let our agents who manage the house we're living in, know. they said OKAY YEAH YEAH, we'll get a maintenance person around. that took about 3 weeks. the man never turned up. after complaining by phone and email numerous times (we've learnt never to phone - or to do it minimally - as there's no proof you've complained about anything and they will just ignore our calls), and even emailing OTHER people at the agents (including, according to their website, the head person), there has been no reply this week, at all.

i am kind of losing hope here. we like the house, it's in a good area, an excellent price, and we don't want to move out. but these issues are serious - the electric problem could, probably, at any time, start a fire, and the damp patch is aggravating my boyfriend's rhinitis. and yes, we've told them, numerous times. they don't seem to care.
