Warming things up

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 13:29, 9 November '10

Sometimes when I buy food, it says to preheat the oven. Sometimes I do, more often than not I don't if I'm being honest. Which I am.

Likewise they say that to keep your central heating in good working order, you should turn it on in the summer months occasionally to keep it ticking over.

Most importantly, you should warm the teapot prior to making a brew as it yields far better results.

However we don't have a tea pot or kettle at work, just one of those nearly boiling 24/7 urns and therefore I've applied this logic to making cups of tea as well. So I've been warming my cup up with a bit of near boiling water for a minute or so before brewing up. And you know what? It *seems* better...

Have you tried this? Is this one of those things where I'm kidding myself? Do you like warming things up?

LAD.
