Come Dine With Me - should you be allowed to uninvite one of the other in exchange for a flat five points?

PreludesNocturnes [Edit] [Delete] 13:07, 14 November '10

I always think it's unfair on CDWM when you get contestants who:

i) Don't like food and/or
ii) Are so maladjusted there's no way they can enjoy the company of anyone and/or
iii) Go against the spirit of the game and vote tactically (although to be fair this is a lot rarer than I would expect it to be).

On the basis that you wouldn't invite one of these people to your house in the first place, should you be allowed to exclude them from your party and be awarded an average five points instead?

Obviously those in the later shows have a greater advantage in having longer to peg the weirdos, but equally those in earlier shows have the advantage of i) the initial niceties and ii) people not yearning to stay at home instead. Perhaps there should be some kind of Saturday Kitchen-style omelette cook-off to establish the running order.

Sub-thread: What minor adjustments would you make to perfect other successful television formats?
