I'm thinking of moving to one of these two cities in the next year or so. Which should I go for?

I lived in Cardiff for three years, and I have to say I love the city. The emerging music scene was brilliant, so many great indie-centric places for a night out (Clwb, Barfly, Twisted By Design, etc).

However... I generally have reservations about returning to places I've already lived - feels a bit like going backwards, you know. I enjoyed living in Manchester too but I don't think I'm ready to go back. Bristol is a city I've always loved visiting, and feels a bit more 'at home' for me, being a Westcountry boy. I don't know much about the music scene, venues and so on there though, or what it's generally like to live in.

Thoughts? Your opinion could CHANGE MY LIFE. Woo.
