do people ever lend/give you CDs that you know you're not going to listen to / books/magazines you know you're not going to read / DVDs you know you're not going to watch?
for example, my colleague has just burned me a copy of the new kings of leon album.
do you listen to them anyway? what kind of feedback (if any) do you give? Would you be tempted to go into metacritic/imdb to get some constructive things to say if they ask what you think?
