One of the best TV programmes ever? I finally finished it this weekend, after about a year of watching it, on and off. I dread to think how many hours of my life it's taken up (probably about a solid week altogether).

The last few episodes weren't as strong or as epic as I would have hoped (certainly no Two Cathederals, probably the best episode of anything ever), even with Sam's brief return. The last series as a whole was brilliant though, especially after a general weakening following Sorkin's departure.

I really don't think I could pick a favourite character, though Toby is frequently heartbreaking.

I am genuinely a bit bereft.

What's next? (The Sopranos or Battlestar Gallactica, probably).
