The last flight of the Harrier

vamos [Edit] [Delete] 17:15, 24 November '10

That sounds good dunnit? Like an awesome Ridley Scott movie.

Anyhow, the Harrier Jump jet is pretty much defunct. Which, for a lad who grew up somewhere with a huge airshow every year, is a bit of a shame as it was pretty amazing to see whizz past.

It looked cool as fuck and could hover on the spot perfectly still whilst DEAFENING EVERYBODY NEARBY.

I think it's a slight shame to see it go. But I guess it's only a plane.

However, my major concern is for action movie stars. Seriously, what other planes or vehicles can hover on the spot, making fights on their backs possible?

Imagine 'True Lies' without the harrier scene? See, it's ACTUALLY impossible. It basically just leaves a vague memory of Jamie Lee Curtis in some black pants.

I mourn the passing of the Harrier. I fear for the action movie industry more so.
