Yeah so I'm finally taking the plunge and getting myself a pug puppy. I've never owned a dog before so my puggular knowledge is all theory at the moment ('Pugs For Dummies' FTW).
The one I've got my eyes on is a little beaut, and it looks like I'll be having my first viewing tomorrow :) The ad is quite minimal, but it does say that the pup is Kennel Club registered, comes with a Pedigree certificate and is regularly wormed.

I've done my research, obviously, but given how prone pugs are to health problems I'm paranoid as FUCK about spending megabucks on something that might well end up being a waddling little bag of infections on 4 stumpy little legs. So some practical advice from real people would be nice too :)) What questions should i be asking? Any really obvious signs of congenital shoddyness i should be looking out for? Any dog-buying horror stories to impart? What sort of price would you expect to pay for decent-to-high quality puggage?

Please....try not to put me off too much though - I've got my heart set on this :)
